• What happens after I apply?​

  • BSO will collect submissions and decide on the 20 participants for the team. If there are some we are unsure of we may contact you to perform an audition. Once we have selected the team, we will contact everyone by email and create a closed Facebook group to communicate their admission and other details.

• Do I need to pay to apply?

  • No, filling out the form above only signals your interest and willingness to audition if necessary. Payment is only after admission.​

• What are the benefits to joining the team?​

• I am not sure if I want to get on stage and perform, is this team for me?

  • Performing on stage is not a requirement of membership on either the show team or the training team. You may attend the team trainings in order to increase your skills and presence while dancing, and choose not to perform​. Note that when performance dates get close, more attention will go towards those committed to performing.

• Does everyone on the team get to perform? (Show Team)

  • Before each performance there will be an audition for those that have made enough progress to perform. Not all members of the team will be chosen for each performance.​

• How do I know if I am qualified to join the Team?

  • If you have completed the 6-week Bachata Sensual Fundamentals program at Bachata Sensual Orlando, or have Bachata Sensual experience, you are eligible to apply by filling out the form above. Anastasia & Jovanny will review the submissions and contact those that we need more information from.

• I really want to join, but I cannot attend one of the training days. Can I still join if I can only come once a week?

  • Attendance on both days of team training is expected for team membership. Talk to us about your case and see if something can be worked out.

• Does the membership fee cover all of my costs?​

  • Show Team: Costumes and dance shoes are not included in the membership fee. Costumes will need to be purchased 4 months before the first scheduled performances because it takes a long time to make costumes. The costume is an investment in your growth, and no refunds will be offered. If you have a costume made and are not chosen to perform at a given event, just keep working and you will perform when you are ready!

• Is this only performance training?

  • Show Team: The team trains extensively in social dancing too! During different phases we will have different focuses, but we ALWAYS want our students to be great social dancers. As we prepare for our shows, we focus on learning how to lead and follow the choreographies, and when show time gets close we focus more on performance expressions, formations, etc. So we do it all.​

  • Training Team: We are also now offering a training team which focuses more closely on social dancing technique, while also preparing you for performance if you want to progress that way in the future!
